Compared to the past, today's horse owners and riders have a significantly different awareness of animal-friendly husbandry and place ever higher demands on the riding facility. Therefore, the modern riding facility should always be planned according to the guidelines for the assessment of horse husbandry from an animal welfare point of view. The basis of any good and modern horse husbandry is bright, well-ventilated, clean stables with sufficiently large boxes. Exercise stables must also have sufficient space so that the horses can avoid each other and to provide space for lower-ranking animals to lie down.
